What exactly do you mean by "imap id"? If you mean the UniqueId property, two emails having the same unique ID in a single folder would indicate a serious bug in either the IMAP server or client.

Please create a communication log using Imap object's LogWriter property that includes a listing of a folder with those two messages. This should make it possible to tell what is going on. You can post the log here or mail it to support@rebex.net for analysis.

There are no IMAP IDs in internet message headers. The "id" and "mapi id" values in "Received" headers are not IMAP IDs.  "Received" headers contain trace information that inserted by SMTP servers that transmitted the message, and their purpose is to help detecting problems (see https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5321#section-4.4). To an IMAP server or mail clients, these headers are essentially irrelevant - it's basically just a log.
