X11 forwarding support

Hi Rebex Team!

I’d like to request support for SSH X11 forwarding in Rebex SSH. A lot of my customers are still relying on this and use our PuTTY integration to do X11. I would like to drop PuTTY and it seems this is one of the most critical parts which is blocking me.

Would you consider adding support for it?

Alternatively, a lower-level API for sending custom channel requests and accepting channel-open requests by type would also make it possible to build this myself.

This has been on our list of possible future enhancements for a long time, but demand has been very low. And now, due to the ongoing transition of almost all Linux distributions from the ancient X11 protocol to Wayland, I'm afraid that chances of us adding this are close to zero.

So, until something unexpected happens, we currently assume that X11 forwarding would be a legacy niche feature that is unlikely to bring enough additional funds to cover its development and ongoing maintenance. We could add a custom lower-level API for when we are free for custom development.
