I’ve noticed several forum posts dating back to 2020 asking about support for SSH agents. As of February 2026, there still doesn’t seem to be any update on this feature.

This limitation affects third‑party applications embedding Rebex (such as RoyalTS), which cannot make use of SSH agents. In my case, our infrastructure relies heavily on Azure ARC SSH, but we’re unable to leverage Rebex together with Windows’ ssh-agent.exe.

I’m not a developer, so I can’t judge the complexity of implementing this. However, in today’s environment, SSH agent support feels like a “must‑have” feature to remain relevant.

A formal response in the Q&A section—or any official communication—would be greatly appreciated.

We are sorry that you were not able to find appropriate documentation for this topic. Please note that support for SSH agents was added in June 2023 (version 7.0.8581). Citing from release notes:

OpenSSH Agent and PuTTY Pageant are now supported for SSH and SFTP client authentication. Use the Login method overload with SshAuthenticationAgent argument.

It was also mentioned at our regular notifications channels:

Finally, you can find useful link to SshAuthenticationAgent API documentation, which also includes code example.
