Hi Team,

We are currently using Rebex 1.1 version in an ASP.NET 3.5 application. We recently observed that the the download process from FTP is not working as expected when the files are of size more than 20 MB. We tried manipulating the timeouts too but the results are the same. We put time out values to 3000 even then the download stops after about donwloading 19 MB which is taking around 8-9 minutes. Kindly let us know the options we have as this is a production issue.

Thanks

Version 1.1 is really old. Can you please try it with the latest version?

If the issue persists, please send us the communication log to support@rebex.net (how to produce the log is described at this post).

Hi Lukas,

Thanks for your reply. We assume there will be cost associated if we plan to move to higher version than 1.1. We do have a licensed version of Rebex Sftp component 2.0.4050, can we use this? Will there be any issues?

No, you cannot use Sftp component to download files from FTP server. However, to try whether the latest version is without an issue, trial version is enough. You can download it for free here

Hello, the FTP and SFTP are completely different protocols. For details see http://www.rebex.net/kb/secure-ftp.aspx
